About Red Kite

Red Kite Theatre has been in existence for several years and has performed under different names for the last few years.

Since 2020, Red Kite Theatre has been an operating and performing name for The Chilterns Theatre Company.

In 2025, Red Kite Theatre was considering shutting as the majority of the then current trustees no longer wished to run the Charity, having not put any productions on for a couple of years.  Several of the regular performers were involved in the running of The Young Theatre  [at Beaconsfield] and did not wish to see the disbandment of the group, and it was felt that a merger of Young Theatre and the Chilterns Theatre Company would allow Red Kite to continue.

The current management of Young Theatre became the trustees of The Chilterns Theatre Company and the charity was renamed, in conjunction with the Charity Commission to Young Theatre with a charity registration number of 1191155 and is registered in England and Wales.

Profits from any production of Red Kite Theatre not only allows Red Kite to perform but also help to support the work of Young Theatre.

Red Kite now considers it performance home to be The Curzon Centre, 43 Maxwell Road, Beaconsfield. HP9 1RG
